v4 build final - Made from stainless steel, solid mahogany, ceramic E26 socket with 5w LED bulb and hidden touch switch, hand-stitched waxed cording and a natural parchment shade.
v4 build - Improvements to the overall structure, with beautifully sculptural one-piece upper and lower frames (allowing for an almost jig-free assembly) silver brazed to upright rods.
Final v3 build started as a floor lamp, but lacked the appropriate structural balance, so the lower frame was removed in favor of a nicely weighted table lamp. This iteration features a hand-stitched parchment hide shade.
v3 design takes on a more nautical theme with a mahogany "hull" element.
v2 from 2024, with a form inspired by vintage bi-planes, a wood and fabric shade using canoe construction techniques, on a steel frame.
v1 was developed in the late 1990's, and has seen a few different shades over the years - inspired by Spanish wrought iron, with a slip-on paper shade from 2025.
